Project Legacy

Project Legacy is a Rochester organization that supports youth and young adults of color. It provides full-spectrum support; from trauma-healing practices and circles to financial aid with tuition, housing, and other necessities. They provide the kind of day in, day out support that puts an end to systemic injustices. After ten years of work, the organization is capable of more good than ever. A student of mine at RCTC led me to them, and in the summer of 2019, I started a writers workshop for a group of young women in middle and high school. I tutor and volunteer in other capacities, including regular contributions to their newsletter.
